For Classes 1–5 (Primary Level)
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks + 2-year Diploma (as per NCTE 2002) OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education OR
- Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
For Classes 6–8 (Upper Primary Level)
- Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed OR
- Graduation with 40% marks + B.Ed (as per NCTE rules) OR
