CTET 2025 Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to check the eligibility of candidates for teacher posts in central government schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs).

The CTET Notification PDF for both July and December 2025 sessions will be released together on the official website www.ctet.nic.in. Candidates who qualify for the exam will get a CTET Certificate, which is now valid for a lifetime.

What is CTET?

CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Classes 1–5 (Primary Level)

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks + 2-year Diploma (as per NCTE 2002) OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education OR
  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

For Classes 6–8 (Upper Primary Level)

  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed OR
  • Graduation with 40% marks + B.Ed (as per NCTE rules) OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks + B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed

CTET 2025 Selection Process

  • Based on CTET exam score.
  • Candidates must score at least 60% to qualify.
  • CTET is only an eligibility test, not a direct recruitment exam.
